ARTD140 — Digital Photography I (3 credit hours)

and Winter Terms, Odd years only A studio-based introduction to the fundamental methods, practices, and principles of photography. Students explore: connections between traditional and contemporary media; the art and science of photographic imaging; visual communication strategies; and the history of photography. Topics include the elements and principles of design, capturing single frame narratives, hardware and software components, and contemporary and historical research.
