CDA Training

Partnership between T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Michigan and Northwestern Michigan College offering CDA training for early care and education providers in Northwest Michigan. Classes meet on Saturdays and provide 120 hours of professional preparation required by the Council for Professional Recognition. Students earn 9 college credits (ECE 101, ECE 290B, ECE 204) applicable toward an Early Childhood Education Associate Degree. T.E.A.C.H. scholarships cover most or all costs including the CDA credential fee for eligible participants.

Prerequisites: Apply to become an NMC student, Apply for a T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Michigan scholarship, Submit a FAFSA financial aid application at fafsa.gov, Complete NMC CDA Training Interest Form, Sign and return T.E.A.C.H. scholarship contract, Complete virtual NMC orientation, Attend required registration meeting at NMC
