NMC's Law Enforcement Police Academy trains students for careers in law enforcement and MCOLES licensure. Students who complete year one general education requirements earn an AAS Degree upon academy completion; those who already hold a degree or have at least one year of military police experience earn the Level II Certificate. The academy schedule is fixed — all Year 2 courses are required with no alternative scheduling. Additional costs include the FAA Part 107 exam ($175) and MCOLES licensing exam ($84). Tuition is assessed at in-district Tier I rates regardless of residency.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of year one courses on the course sequence guide, OR, Associate Degree or higher, OR, At least one year active duty service as a military police officer, No felony convictions, Drug test required, Medical evaluation required (not personal physician)
