NMC partners with Munson Medical Center and Muskegon Community College to offer an associate degree respiratory therapy program completable in Traverse City. Liberal arts classes are offered at NMC; most other classes including clinical courses are taken onsite at Munson. Respiratory therapists evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, working under physician direction to provide therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures.
Prerequisites: ENG 111: English Composition, BIO 227 & BIO 227L: Human Anatomy & Physiology I, BIO 228 & BIO 228L: Human Anatomy & Physiology II, CHM 101 & CHM 101L: Introduction to Chemistry, MTH 111: Intermediate Algebra (or higher)
