Freshwater Studies

Degree

NMC's Freshwater Studies degree was the first associate degree in Freshwater Studies in the U.S. when created in 2009. This Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) transfer degree offers multiple opportunities for bachelor degree completion, including unique partnerships with LSSU for bachelor degrees in Conservation Biology and Fisheries and Wildlife Management, and WMU for a bachelor degree in Freshwater Science and Sustainability. Career pathways include water advocacy, sustainable water management, water infrastructure, natural resource management, scientific research, water policy, and fisheries and wildlife management.
