NMC's Social Science division offers programs and transfer pathways in Early Childhood Education, Law Enforcement, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Education, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology. Students can pursue an Associate in Applied Science, Associate in Science and Arts, or Certificate of Achievement. A partnership with Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District allows dual-enrolled high school students to earn college credits. Service Learning projects provide hands-on career exploration. Many required courses for the ASA degree are available online.
