NMC's Communications programs equip students with in-demand skills in media, writing, public speaking, and world languages. Concentrations include Public Speaking and Communications Studies, English (developmental reading/writing, composition, literature, linguistics), and World Languages (ASL, French, German, Russian, Spanish). Students earn an Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree and are typically preparing to transfer to a four-year institution. Hands-on experience through student publications and a focus on transferable skills like critical thinking and cultural competency make graduates job-ready or well-prepared for transfer.
