Today's computerized vehicles require skilled automotive technicians. NMC offers hands-on training in a 13-bay auto shop where students work on real cars for real customers. Programs include an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Automotive Service Technology and four specialized Level II certificates: Electrical & Drivability Specialist, Hybrid Technology Specialist, Master Automotive Technician, and Under Car Specialist. Classes run days and evenings, taught by certified instructors. In-house testing for Michigan state certification is included. Graduates may pursue careers as dealership or independent shop technicians, service managers, fleet technicians, or parts sales professionals.
