Fine Arts

The NMC Art Department is housed in the historic Shirley S. Okerstrom Fine Arts Building, near the Dennos Museum Center. Studio Art and Art Appreciation courses are among the most unique nationwide, taught by instructors recognized locally and nationally as practicing artists. Concentration areas include Art History, Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. Students build portfolios, pursue transfer or career paths, access art-specific scholarships, and may participate in the Annual Studio Art Exhibition at the Dennos Museum Center.
