HUN2201 — FUNDAMENTALS OF HUMAN NUTRITION: 3 Credits, 3 Hours

(On Demand) This course examines the human body’s needs for nutrients, vitamins, minerals and water to function as well as to prevent and treat diseases/health problems. Consumer issues, dietary guidelines, and energy needs and expenditure are addressed. Prerequisite: Required successful completion of NFC developmental reading and writing course options or appropriate reading and writing placement scores on a postsecondary readiness test. Exemptions may exist; consult an academic advisor. Suggested prerequisite: Minimum grade of “C” in one of the following courses: BSC 1005C, BSC 1010C, BSC 2084C, BSC 2085C or CHM 1033.
