(On Demand) This methods course provides students with the knowledge of developmentally appropriate science and math concepts for children birth through age eight and techniques for incorporating them throughout the curriculum. Topics include one-to-one correspondence, number concept, sorting, patterns, measuring, estimating, scientific process, observing, predicting, problem-solving and appropriate use of technology in the classroom. The course also includes assessment of development, as well as designing appropriate accommodations to meet the needs of all children enrolled in the early childhood program. Prerequisite: Minimum grades of “C” in CHD 2220 or instructor consent.
