EEC1407 — PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH FOR YOUNG CHILDREN: 3 Credits, 3 Hours

(On Demand) This methods course explores the physical, social and emotional health for children birth through age eight. Topics include fine and gross motor development, pro-social skills, self-concept, self-control, self-esteem, play, relationships, temperament, physical well-being, mental health and environmental influences. The course also includes assessment of development as well as designing appropriate accommodations to meet the needs of all children enrolled in the early childhood program.
