CLP1140 — ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY: 3 Credits, 3 Hours

(Spring, Summer) The purpose of this course is to enable students to conceptualize a variety of psychological disorders from a research practitioner framework. The course covers conditions such as depression, suicide, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia and psychological therapies. THIS COURSE DOES NOT FULFILL GENERAL EDUCATION SOCIAL SCIENCE REQUIREMENTS. Prerequisite: Successful completion of NFC developmental reading and writing course option or appropriate placement score on a postsecondary readiness test. Exemptions may exist; consult an academic advisor. Minimum grade of “C” in ENC 1101 is recommended, but not required.
