AMH2091 — AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE: 3 Credits, 3 Hours

(Spring) A survey course covering African-American history from the early American colonial period to the present. This course examines the contributions of African-Americans to American life and the role of African- Americans in the economic, political, military, social and cultural history of the United States. Prerequisite: Successful completion of NFC developmental reading and writing course options or appropriate reading and writing placement scores on a postsecondary readiness test. Exemptions may exist; consult an academic advisor.
