Sociology – Associate in Science and Arts (ASA)

Degree

Sociology is the scientific, humanistic, and critical discipline studying almost all aspects of society — from how parents socialize children to how inequality is reproduced in daily life. Using surveys, interviews, observation, ethnography, and historical investigation, sociologists probe questions about poverty, violent conflict, social interaction, and technology's impact on relationships. The program equips students to critically analyze social circumstances, explain the causes of social problems, and propose socially relevant solutions.
