Geology at Muskegon Community College explores Earth's materials, processes, and history. Physical Geology (GEOL101A) covers Earth materials, geologic processes, natural hazards, and environmental geology. Historical Geology (GEOL102) examines Earth's past and uses that record to inform predictions. Oceanography (GEOL201) surveys physical, geological, chemical, and biological ocean systems with emphasis on climate change, ocean acidification, and sea level rise. The program leads to an Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) and is Michigan Transfer Agreement eligible.
