Geography is the spatial study of the earth's surface, exploring relationships between all physical and cultural phenomena. It divides into Physical Geography (natural environment: weather, climate, landforms, soils, rivers, oceans) and Human Geography (human activities and their relationship to the earth: populations, languages, agriculture, religions, political systems). The discipline seeks to understand where things are located, why they are there, and how they develop over time. Graduates pursue careers in education, business, local/state/federal government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Offered as an Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) with MI Transfer pathway.
