Zoology

Degree

Zoology is the branch of biology concerned with the evolution, classification, habits and distribution of all animals. The study of animals and how they interact with their ecosystems provides insight into how life works. Zoologists may study a particular species or group of species, either in the wild or in captivity, examining diet and physical characteristics. The impact of human interaction is also relevant to the field. Students interested in transferring to a college with a zoology program may begin with general education courses at MCC. The program leads to an Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree with MI Transfer pathway.
