Certificate providing entry-level training for medical office administrative roles, including medical receptionist, registration clerk, scheduling clerk, and patient access representative. Graduates will safeguard patient confidentiality per medical/legal and bio-ethical standards, use medical office terminology, and operate basic computer systems. Duties include checking patients in/out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, compiling medical records, and maintaining supplies. Flows into the Administrative/Office Management – Medical AAS degree. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association.
