Criminal Justice/Corrections
Degree
The Criminal Justice/Corrections AAS degree prepares students for careers in law enforcement and corrections. The 62-credit program covers general education (English, math, behavioral sciences, computer literacy), core criminal justice courses in law enforcement, police administration, criminology, crime prevention, and criminal law, plus specialized corrections coursework in legal issues, correctional facilities, client relations, and client development. Recommended electives include defensive tactics, criminal investigations, interrogation, evidence, and community relations. All CJ courses require a minimum grade of C.
