An intermediate ballet course with a continuation of barre and centre work and phrases across the floor with a focus on placement concepts, transfer of weight, core strength, and the positioning of the body in space. Proper alignment will be stressed in all the exercises at the barre and in the centre. Centre work is designed to impart traveling, turning, and jumping skills including en dehors en dedans pirouettes, traveling turns, petite allegro and grand allegro vocabulary. Emphasis will be placed on coordination, musicality and transitions, movement quality, as well as on artistic expression and performance.
