DNC138A — Dance Choreography & Design

This is a course focusing on introductory choreographic skills. The investigation of root dance elements like time, space, shape, and energy, as well as movement generation through guided improvisation will serve as the foundation for the creative choreographic process. In this course we will practice the articulation of creative ideas and critical observations. Concepts will be explored both as soloists and in small groups, and may be applied to any genre of dance.
