AH107 — Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide

AH 107 prepares the student with skills and abilities to function as a home health aide, patient care assistant, or nurse aide. The student must demonstrate the ability to meet the essential functions of the occupation for nurse aides and home health aides. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the student will be eligible to sit for the Competency Evaluated Nurse Aide examination (CENA). All Nurse Aides must complete an approved training program to be eligible for State Certification Testing and subsequent employment. The Muskegon Community College Nurse Assistant Training Program is approved by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation (DLARA)/Bureau of Health Care Services, Long Term Care Division, and Nurse Aide Certification Program. This program follows the Michigan Competency-Driven Core Curriculum for Nurse Aides (2023 update). The individual who satisfactorily completes this course will be eligible to take the State Nurse Aide Competency Exam and Home Health Care Exam.
