Geology attracts people who love the outdoors and thrive on practical challenges. Geologists find, develop, and conserve natural resources, investigate and protect water supplies, and work to lessen the effects of natural hazards. The goal of the geology discipline at MCC is to provide an introduction and appreciation for the natural world and give students the background necessary to pursue a career in the earth sciences.
