Communication examines how people use verbal and nonverbal messages to transmit meaning across diverse settings, cultures, and contexts. The program takes a social scientific and interdisciplinary approach to human communication, covering interpersonal communication, mediation and dispute resolution, intercultural communication, business communication, health communication, political communication, public relations, and visual arts. Graduates pursue a wide range of careers enabled by strong communication competencies.
