WELD-260 — Shielded Metal Arc Welding II

Students will further develop their Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) skills by learning the American Welding Society (AWS) codes and standards and applying them to welds being performed. Students will build open root groove welds using multiple SMAW electrodes on carbon steel plate in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions. Students will be tested to meet qualification requirements for AWS D1.1 Prequalified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Course
