The course will provide participants the understanding of how substances use disorders and mental health disorders impact one another; knowledge of treatment approaches for co-occurring disorders; fundamental differences between integrated care and parallel care; theories of addiction and mental health treatment; and social dimensions of co-occurring support. This class is appropriate for both students engaged in course of study, and beginning substance abuse workers in the field. Course
