Note: Students must provide their own safety glasses, flash drive, and 3-ring binder. This course covers the principles and applications of the most commonly found mechanical drive components as used in industrial automation and control systems. Topics include mechanical power transmission devices such as shafts, belts, chains, cams and gears with an emphasis on application and troubleshooting. The learning plan is aimed at entry level technicians who are involved in the assembly, test, startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of automated systems. Course
