Provides an overview of the field, including the role and responsibilities of educational interpreters, their working conditions and related issues. Also covered are evaluation systems for educational interpreters and the Florida Educational Code of Ethics. Opportunities for skill building will be included with emphasis placed on signing with conceptual accuracy, mastering various sign systems and developing expertise in the use of technical signs.
