This course is designed to acquaint the student with the fundamentals of large animal husbandry, herd health man - agement, preventive medicine, animal restraint and nutrition as it relates to the bovine, equine, porcine and caprine species. Techniques discussed in the Large Animal Clinic and Nursing skills course such as venipuncture, injections and adminis - tration of other oral medications will be reviewed and demonstrated. One labora - tory session will be devoted to poultry science.
