ASL2220 — Receptive Skills Development

The course will focus on increasing the stu dent‘s receptive understanding of signed communications. Examples of American Sign Language (ASL) will be presented via videotapes and live interactions with deaf persons. Students will identify all the components and linguistic features of ASL and will provide appropriate English trans lations either in speech (paraphrasing) or in written form.

Prerequisites: ASL 1150C
