This course offers a survey of visual arts from prehistory to 800 C.E. and includes works from the western canon. Students will examine artistic expressions across civilizations, analyzing their connections to historical contexts and aspects of human development. Through this exploration, students will develop critical thinking skills and gain understanding of how visual arts reflect and influence societal developments, ideas, and values throughout early history.
