A four-month Workforce and Continuing Education program that prepares students to draw blood, collect and label specimens, and ready samples for laboratory testing. Taught by working phlebotomists, the curriculum covers venipuncture technique, biohazard disposal, patient communication, and sanitary workstation practices. Students prepare for the American Society for Clinical Pathology Phlebotomy Exam and complete an unpaid clinical internship. No formal admission application is required. Phlebotomists are in high demand in hospitals and physician offices. Apprenticeship options offering paid on-the-job experience are also available.
