Fire and Emergency Medical Services Technology

This Associate of Applied Science degree program prepares students for careers in firefighting and related fire service roles in the public and private sectors, including fire investigation, prevention, and industrial safety. Instructors are experienced fire service professionals. Coursework covers fire science, emergency medical procedures, fire investigation, and fundamentals of fire protection. Students complete a 10-week Fire Academy leading to Firefighter I and II certification exams required in Michigan. EMT training is also integrated into the curriculum. Credits are transferable toward a bachelor's degree.
