Degree

Exercise Science at Macomb prepares students for careers in health and fitness using a science-based, whole-person approach to wellness. Faculty teach students to assess individual physical needs and conditions — including asthma, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, depression, and anxiety — and design appropriate exercise programs. The curriculum covers lifestyle choices, cardio fitness, strength training, nutrition, weight management, CPR/AED, exercise physiology, and biomechanics. Graduates earn an associate degree and may enter a growing job market or transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree.
