Chinese Language and Culture

Chinese Language and Culture courses at Macomb Community College explore one of the world's oldest languages and richest civilizations. Students gain familiarity with Chinese characters and cultural traditions spanning philosophy, art, festivals, and dynastic history. With over 1.1 billion native speakers globally, Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. Credits transfer to many Michigan colleges and universities and can apply toward bachelor's degree requirements. Career pathways include international business, education, government, and language translation or interpretation.
