The Community Leadership Certificate combines coursework in psychology, social work, human relations, leadership development, and conflict resolution — one of few programs like it in Michigan. Students develop skills in cultural competency, coalition-building, social and political power dynamics, and strategic partnering. Internships and partnerships with nonprofits such as Focus Hope and United Way provide hands-on experience. The certificate complements careers in social work, business management, public service, speech, and public relations.
