(formerly VETT-1030) VETT-1031 instructs veterinary technician students in the anatomy and physiology of common domestic species, including dogs, cats, horses, pigs, cattle, and small ruminants. Application strategies include the use of skeletal and anatomically correct models of common domestic species, dissection of an animal cadaver, and the dissection of an animal eye, heart, and brain. Students will compare anatomical structures of live animals with those identified in the cadaver. Students will compare and contrast anatomical and physiological species differences among the common domestic species studied. (2 billable contact hrs)
