OTAS-1235 — Human Dev&Clinicl Interaction

This course provides the student with the knowledge required in life span development, emphasizing relationships to occupational performance, culture, social contexts, and communication as they correlate to physical, sensorimotor, cognitive, and psychosocial development. Theories and research on human development and the impact of choice, or imposed environment, including global issues impacting development and access to services, will be addressed. The impact of therapeutic communication at different stages of development, the impact of culture and generational learning styles, and teaching techniques will be addressed. (2 billable contact hrs)
