(replaces but does not equate to NURS-2530) This patient-centered clinical course gives students opportunities to develop skills in nursing care provision and management for a variety of adult patients. Using the framework of the nursing process, the student will practice critical thinking, communication skills, application of technology, and professional responsibility while safely caring for patients with life-span changes. The focus will be on the nursing care of patients with anemia, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, endocrine, and renal problems. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Students are required to pass this course to progress in the program. (5.5 billable contact hrs)
