This course is the first of two mathematics courses for students majoring in the areas of business, social science, or life science and includes applications of linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of linear equations and inequalities; algebra of matrices and linear programming; elements of probability theory; and applications of probability.
