This laboratory course requires the student to apply the concepts and theory learned in the theory course to assist them in performing health and physical assessment and data collection skills. The concepts will be used as an outline for learning to provide safe, competent care to culturally diverse adult patients. This course highlights communication skills as well as evidence-based practice as it relates to assessment. The legal and ethical aspects of the examination and documentation as it pertains to the LPN scope of practice will be included. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Students are required to pass this course to progress in the program. (1.5 billable contact hrs)
