HHSC-1740 — Survey of Body Systems

(formerly MAST 1740 and HITT 1740) This course will introduce students to basic anatomy and physiology, common pathology, diagnostic measures, and treatment modalities applied to the healthcare field. Topics include cells, tissues, organs, and the various body systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, nervous system, cardiology, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. This course has been designed specifically for students in the Medical Assistant and Health Information Technology programs. (4 billable contact hrs)
