This course provides an understanding of the basic principles of fire chemistry, the process of fire combustion, fire behavior and an examination of the effects of fire behavior on the safety of individual firefighters. The course also categorizes the components of fire and explains the physical and chemical properties of fire. (3 billable contact hrs)
