This course begins with a study of the literature from the Medieval period and moves to study works written throughout the age of Chivalry, the Elizabethan era, the Seventeenth century political upheaval and Restoration, and the Age of Enlightenment in the Eighteenth Century. Authors that may be covered include Chaucer, Mallory, More, Sidney, Spenser, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Raleigh, Donne, Herrick, Marvell, Milton, Dryden, Swift, and Pope. (3 billable contact hrs)
