CULH-2125 — Advanced Wine

(formerly CULH 2913) This course is designed to give the students an in depth study of the world wine regions, vineyard management, wine making techniques and varietal characteristics. Topics will include beer, spirits and sake as well. Special emphasis will be placed on sensory perception of wine and deductive tasting techniques. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to register and sit for the Introductory Sommelier exam. (3 billable contact hrs)
