This course teaches the general concepts of Art-to-Part using specialized CAD software. Through lecture and lab assignments, the student will learn basic skills necessary to convert two-dimensional digital pictures into three-dimensional CAD data for surface machining. Toolpaths will be generated and parts will be machined using CNC Machine Tools and lasers. Terminology used in the field of CAD/CAM will be emphasized. (2 billable contact hrs)
