Students learn foundational nursing knowledge, application of the nursing process, core scientific principles, attitudes, values and psychomotor nursing skills to promote health and wellness across the lifespan. Students use foundational nursing knowledge and core scientific principles to demonstrate psychomotor skills. Skills include, but are not limited to, physical assessment, health history inventory, documentation, medication administration, asepsis, wound care, interpretation of lab values, and disaster preparedness. Students apply skills related to Nursing Foundation concepts in clinical, laboratory, and/or simulation settings.
