The externship provides an opportunity for the student to experience working in a licensed healthcare practitioner's office or other clinical setting. Students will have the opportunity to work with established partner sites or find their own externship site with approval of the Program Director. The student will be required to perform 200 hours of supervised clinical and administrative medical assisting tasks in an ambulatory care or hospital setting. During the externship, the student will be evaluated by the physician or another qualified designated staff member. Prerequisites: MEDA 214 Additional Course Fee: $75.00
