This survey course is a general introduction to computers and information technology and is designed to provide computer literacy in the digital age. A broad range of topics is covered, including hardware, software, the networking of computer systems, the internet, e-commerce, information security, and careers available in the industry. Topics will also include different types of information systems, database design and administration, systems analysis, the use of programming languages in software development, and proficiency in business productivity software.
